Tanqueray aka Tank
Posted By: Kerrowdown, 07-07-2019, 04:04 AM

This is my seven month old pup, at a rare brief stationary moment with his old pal "Ele" (a purple elephant).

In fact it's the third reincarnation of Ele, as first two got shredded.

Either he doesn't know or doesn't care that it's new, it's still his bestest lifelong pal.

My Tia's full name is Tia Maria. I guess my Tess likes alcohol and also like dogs, hence the connection.

Very cute pup.

When I used to drink (not since 39 years ago),Tankueray was the best gin because it didn't taste like pine needles. LOL

I used to drink rarely, but then I read on the internet if I drink a beer away, I might live 2 years longer. Tess is enough younger than me I have to go for every advantage.

I was an alcoholic. I had to quit to be able to save my marriage and my life. Now I don't drink anything stronger than coffee for fear of going back where I was before. And my late husband was 17 years older than me.

Tess doesn't relax and stop work until she's had her beer, she doesn't seem to be able to relax without it. 4 o'clock is beer time around here, just like at her grandparents' house. Apparently it's family tradition marking the end of the work day.

Actually a family tradition is what started my drinking heavily. None in my family knew how to have just a social drink. and unfortunately it passed on to me. Yes, I had a choice but I tended to follow what my family did.

I'm going to put it down as young and stupid. I was 12 when I started.

His Mother was called Gin so the whole pup litter got various brands of gins as their names, hence mine was Tanqueray.

Give him and a pet and hug from me. I love animals and dogs especially. After all, our dogs are just our children in fur coats.

Worryingly my pups better behaved than my girls were as youngsters.

Tanqueray....what a handsome lad.

Many years ago I had a wonderful little dog, named Willy. He was also very feisty, extremely loyal and a true character. He was part West Highland Terrier and poodle. Intelligent and had that terrier tenacity.

He's been gone many years now, but I still think about the little fellow. Quite a dog and a fine companion.
