Nice live action catch. They are interesting beings that are examples of mimicry. Get more images if you can. It would be interesting to your local university entomologists if it is a M. Stellararum. You could be noted with finding one on the British Isles.

Thanks again Take-5-JB...they seem to becoming more common in the U.K. than I knew...I found this online...
