This afternoon, I met up with my old friend, the Heron. I've photographed her/him earlier this year a couple of times, but today I was able to get closer than before. As I write this, I'm drinking a cold one in his/her honor.

Very sharp portrait and the bokeh really highlights the Heron.

Great shots! Love the detail on the feathers, especially on the second shot. Even got a little feather bokeh/front bokeh on the lower feathers.
