Thanks Tony! I think the red has oversaturated in the sensor, so a bit of the feather detail has been lost, but I'm still happy with the results. I've had similar problems with my Nikon film scanner - anything red oversaturates, and I think in the case of the scanner it's because an LED light source is used. However, it does seem like electronic light sensors tend to be especially sensitive to red.

Thank you! I miss some of the more colourful birds in Queensland, but we still have some colourful parrots. For some reason, birds have brighter feathers in warmer climates.
