Carrion crow (Corvus Corone)

Just liked the sheen on the feathers... on this healthy looking specimen.

Beautiful image, not just the fiendish featured fowl, but the little wildflowers and the blades of grass are a great background that sets the bird apart.

Fascinating! I've never seen a pattern on a crow like that. Ours are much more black.

An overcast day and reduce the contrast a touch helps.
