My wife and I did daily walks along this beach on our vacation to Oregon a few weeks ago. It is not a swimmer's beach, but is great for watching the waves roll in.

Great photo. And I love how the clouds look like a massive wave about to break on you!

A very atmospheric image indeed, looks like my ideal kind of photography beach, we get a few here on the Western Isles.

Yes, I prefer this type for photography. However, I missed my golden opportunity to take some candid photos of a wedding party that was walking to the beach for a beach wedding. I was just ahead of them and it would have been tacky to just turn around and start shooting. I thought about circling back around, but I decided to pass on it. It would have made a very cool photograph.

Tacky or no... the image is everything.

Love it. Oregon and Washington ocean beaches have this lovely salt haze that gives you the fuzzy horizons with no transitions. At least no sharp ones. . Add fog banks and headlands, you get gorgeous scenes.

Thanks! I found that out when I was there. It was very enjoyable walking the beach.

I believe you can count swimming beaches here in Oregon on one hand.
