A female Mallard cruising the calm waters of Lake Perez, PA. Shutter speed was 1/400. Camera was in Landscape HDR mode.

Joel, excellent capture with a terrific reflection. I also like the isolation against the background.

Lovely scene - the reflection, colours, and the bokeh makes for a dream-like effect.

Nice photo of a male Mallard. In summer, ducks molt most of their feathers and replace them with new ones. During molt, male mallards resemble females. However, the color of the bill does not change - orange with dark edges for females, and yellow-green for males. - Jack
