Warbird Round 2019 - Biplanes and Bird Dog · **8 Likes**

Had a great time at the Warbird Roundup. Lots of pictures to wade through.
The highlights were the Grumman TigerCat F7F-3 and the B-25 Billy Mitchell bomber and a bunch of P51s including the only remaining P51A still flying.

This set is the Naval Aircraft Factory N3N - The N3N is supposedly the type of plane used in the famous crop dusting scene with Cary Grant from North by Northwest.

Nice series. I love the cute little Cessna, used to make Airfix models of that as a kid.

The Mustangs, the Mitchell, The F7F-3, P40s and P47s, AT6s.
It was a great show so lots of photos to work through.

I remember that scene well...the strafing run from the crop duster and that run by Cary Grant to the safety of the corn field. Incidentally , one of my favourite movies...if not # 1..of all time. I live in the Canadian west, the prairies...farm fields further than the eye can see...and I'm fortunate to have seen many a crop duster in action.

Some very nice shots and good info in your post.
