Thanks! It's intriguing. The only thing vaguely similar I can think of in European castles is the garde-robe, but this room is clearly not a garde-robe!

The citadel '' the Dey's Palace " Built between 1516 and 1591 .

This side of the castle reserved for women of the palace. from this place through these many windows women can follow what is going on outside a 180 ° view

@ RobG " The room built out from the wall " these arn't rooms it's like a Veranda overlooking the alleyways.
