This is a very beautiful flower here, however I was not able to find out its name. :(
Lens: Pentax-A 50mm F/1.7 Lens Camera: Pentax K-7 Photo Location: Sherwood, Oregon ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F5.6

PS, I did some snooping around and discovered that it is a "Pink Vase Bromeliad." They make a wonderful house plant and are pleasing to look at.

Greatly appreciated. I thought I would venture inside this Garden Supply Center and am I glad I did. I discovered a treasure trove of photo opportunities with indoor plants.

As it happens, pineapple is my favorite fruit! <yum>

However, I don't grow any bromeliads (at present)...they're easy here (south Florida), but they are snail magnets and most of the commonly cultivated ones require water in the "vase" all the time, which is prime mosquito breeding habitat. So I admire them in other people's gardens (and photo galleries )
