It is hard to give feedback. I think the image is sharp enough to work with. I would crop in a bit to make the heron a larger subject. I would also lighten up the mid-tone a bit (like below). But others know more about post-processing than I do. It is a bit hard to get wild life images without some cropping in on the subject, no matter what the focal length you are using. Very few really good images are straight out of the camera.

I use Microsoft Photo Editor for simple processing of jpeg images. Often it is all I need. It is a free download but make sure you get it from the Microsoft site and not a third party. You should have software that came with the camera - Pentax Silkypix. It is pretty good. With all software, though, you have to learn how to use it. Some, like GIMP, are very powerful but have a steep learning curve.

O.K., here are my 5 cents, PJ1 gave you good advise on the processing side of things let me address the taken of the image. Unless your camera is on a solid tripod 1/10 at 300 mm does not work. York K50 can easily handle iso 1600 and that would have given you a shutter speed of 1/50, still not good but better.Rule of thumb is that for handholding shutter speed should be at least equal to focal length, It's a rule to be broken and I have done so many times and if you make sure that shake reduction is turned on that gives you another (appr.) 3 stops to play with. I like my 55-300 but at 300 it likes to be closed down a stop. Hope that this is of some use to you.

Take care,

Here is another way to post from your Flickr page: It does not lose as much sharpness when it posts from Flickr.
