Sunrise HDR

Hi all,

Have been workin too much these days. 6 am - 6 pm may not sound like much, but its alot for me. I was just able to take a few shots this morning to experiment with HDR again. I am trying to see what situation is best to use it. I think I have found one of them

One thing is for sure, yucant use the cheap tripods for this. You don't see too clearly the misalignment at this size, but its there. I think I will see if I can adapt some kind of mount to fit on a surveyors tripod. those are sturdy buggers..

Anyway here is the shot. Comments and critiques are always welcome.

Wow, love that sky! You did a great job with HDR and you're right, I can't see an misalignment at that size. Thanks for sharing

There are commercially available adaptors to go from the surveyors' tripod (5/8 thread) to a camera thread. But the tripods are large and heavy!

I know that. I work with them everyday!! I just want something that is very sturdy. Locking a camera on one of these will help. Just out of curiosity, can you point me to one of these adaptors?

thanks

great initial capture and wonderful job on the HDR treatment. it's easy to go a little overboard with HDR and end up with something which looks artificial. this looks completely natural and is quite a beautiful scene.
