Resting in the shade.
Lens: smc PENTAX-DA* 300mm F4 ED [IF] SDM Camera: PENTAX K-3 ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F8

One of those run in the house and grab the camera moments. He was under a tree in low light by the back door.

Excellent capture. I really like the clean background, which is not easy with dragonflies.

One of my favourite subjects. I dont think I've ever got one 'resting' with the wings down like that.

I've seen a lot of dragonfly shots here. This is one of the better ones. Nice work.

The overall colouring renders a nice soft delicacy to this image. Also great clarity.
