Reminds me of this one I downloaded from some history website or another. These are the wedding rings from some of the people who carried those suitcases.

I did not intend to post this on pentaxforums until I saw your photo. I don't want to take away from the many who packed their suitcases for a trip to the crematorium while the Nazis kept their personal belongings. This is to add to the story.

My Great Uncle Marvin gave all in the Battle of the Hurtgen Forest. In 2019 Marvin finally had a memorial stone in the USA to commemorate what he did for our country, and for people who love freedom. Marvin was buried in Belgium after taking shrapnel and holding onto life for about two weeks before losing his. He signed letters to his family, "As ever, Marvin"
