Nice photo. The early morning light really brings out a nice color to the sand and rocks.

no, not too far south at all, the odd crock has been seen cruising off the beach, I certainly wouldn't get in the water at any of the nearby rivers or creeks, and of course the "Stingers" are a problem also (in stinger season), but they do have the rock pool which is rather nice to swim in. (that's the rock formation that juts out from the beach).

Hi Greg, thanks for checking out my flickr & the nice comments, we have friends in Townsville so we holiday there when we can, I like what the weather does to this old body of mine, I live in Melbourne, not so good in the winter. cheers

so spoilt, but it is a long drive from Melbourne.

Understand your Melbourne weather comments, not so cold in Adelaide, but gets too hot in summer
The sun killed my last back lawn when it hit 48C, that's 3 heat tolerant lawns burnt to a crisp in summer, no amount of watering could save them.

Those giant lagoon pools up north are wonderful, sounds like they are beckoning me again.

There is a bit of a boat on sea - right hand side - I would just cut it to get a perfect scenery

so I think that's a land mass, the northern tip of Magnetic Island, funny I didn't even notice, but I think you're probably right, it doesn't need to be there, cheers
