Calico is now a California State Park, with restaurants, gift shops and a vast campground. Memorabilia of silver mining in the 19th century.

Nice compostion, but the colors are a bit over saturated for my tastes.

California desert tends to be "washed out" in reality - there would be a tendency to saturate what the camera produces.

Nice shot. It has a very nice backdrop with the hill behind it.

The light was very bright this last July and I underexposed by one full stop to avoid weak washed-out colors and to compensate for the dark frame. The air is very dry in the desert with about 10 % humidity. Plus I have adjusted my "color palette" to VIBRANT on my K1, hence the saturation.

A little too much blue sky IMHO.
Other than that nice composition

You really captured the feeling. It could very easily be the front of a post card. So sharp, so colorful. Nice work.
