Red Five Seven
Lens: Pentax-FA 50mm f:2.8 Macro Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Idaho ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F13.5

I saw this guy in traffic downtown and followed him to his house and begged permission to take photos of what was the most gorgeous '55 Chevy I had ever laid eyes on! It was a frame-off restoration and he spared NO expense. Magnificent tan glove-leather interior, perfect stance, no body modifications (all stock! ), old school wheels, simple dual exhaust that sounded like it should, nice low rumble coming from a 500HP 350 CID engine. Modern suspension with 4 wheel disc brakes. And, what I loved about it.... he hadn't altered the sheet metal at all! Nothing was changed.... just the cosmetics, and it was dead-nuts perfect!

When stopped down, the FA-50 macro produces more stars than any lens I've ever owned. I think I counted 13 off them in this image.

That is an unbelievable car. Your photo looks like something Chevy would have spent a boatload of money to have made. Superb! Now you have me fired up to use my 50 macro on something other than plants and flowers

It just so happened that the 50mm lens was all I had with me! I was thrilled at how well it did. Even then, the photos don't do justice to the car.

What a beautiful piece of American made machinery. I'm not much of a car guy but boy that '57 is sweeet! My only complaint is now I have to resist the urge to hunt down an FA 50mm f/2.8 macro lens.
