B&W really works well with something worn and old like this. It definitely helps make it feel aged.

Thanks everyone! This was quite hard to get this photo "straight", the log ends don't quite line up. Regardless, good fun and I like the end result! Black and white is definitely for the best, not a lot of colour detail available.

Very nice pix..if those logs could tell some tales...
Wonder how old the building is...going by the construction method..a very long time ago I'm guessing. Any history ?

It's an old Canadian barn, on a property that's gone to the weeds. I don't know the exact lineage, but it's probably about 100 to 140 years old, this is a pretty common age for log homes around here.

I'll have to get out to southern Ontario one of these days. My ancestors were farmers who had lived in that part of the world from the 1780's (United Empire Loyalists) till the late 1870's then moved to western Canada to farm out here, where many descendants still live.
