Creeper amongst the ferns

Why, you achieved perfect focus, I'd say. Nice close-up. Only thing that bothers me a bit is the twig on the right. Have you tried cropping it out?

Curious: What are those little "nobs" on the darker leaf?

Nothing wrong with the focus in my opinion. You may want to isolate the subject a bit by opening up the f-stop (aperture).

Madaboutpix. I was trying to focus more on the flower than the leaf. About the twig, I thought it gave a little more interest to the photo, but I see what you mean.

About the leaf, I know its a fern can't think of the name just now, (its an age thing I'm afraid). Sorry, will get back to you when my memory kicks in again......
