Multi-coloured Butterfly amongst the Bottlebrush

Didn't quite nail the focus: did I move, or did the breeze move the butterfly and flower? Who knows - but close enough, I hope, for it to still be pretty photograph?

A very colorful butterfly indeed. Yep. The wind doesn't have to move the butterfly much to miss focus. Even in a slight wind I usually take 4 or 5 or 6 shots and hope 1 is in focus.

It is still pretty.

With a KP, like you were using, I might have upped the f-stop a little, knowing that the KP could handle a higher ISO, but it doesn't matter - as I said, it is still pretty.

Nice butterfly. The just opening bloom at the back looks sharp enough. But butterflies can be hard to nail. Maybe the texture of the wings is a problem for AF (like black cats).

I've found black cats need better {more} lighting {rather than better focus}
