Blue Smoke
Posted By: Dewman, 10-16-2019, 10:29 AM

The EXIF is long-gone, but IIRC, it was with a Sigma 28-80 lens and a Kx. Anyway, my first and only attempt at "pouring smoke." The intense blue color was because I used a convenience store "impulse-buy" item.... one of the little cheap LED flashlights for illumination.

Interesting. Would I be correct assuming the photo is upside down?

Upside down? Heck no..... We've got heavy smoke here in Idaho!

Yep, you got me, Dead John....... I kipped the idea from a poster here on PF many years ago. My one and only attempt. It's kinda' fun and interesting, I thought.

Thanks for confirming. I wasn't sure whether that top item was a match and smoke, or maybe a tube carrying fog from dry ice (which wouldn't be upside down).

My interest in science tends to stifle discussions of art

Interesting technique! Sometimes you need to look at things differently to find the photo.

Do it, Swip! It's actually quite easy. Please post your results if you so decide.

This is really neat, I thought I was looking at some sort of unique chemical reaction instead of upside down, which added to the interest.
