A friend of mine just bought a 21-year-old Harley with 4,230 miles on it! An absolute GEM! And he stole it.... without even using a mask.... for 8K.

I'm officially jealous.

Of both the bike AND the picture!

Looks to be a low mile beaut. One thing, as long time motorcyclist...I hope he changes the tires...if they're original and 21 years old, like the rest of the bike..they are probably hardened and not as grippy as he would like them. Sounds like a very good deal though.

Brand new tires, brand new belt. Never been laid down or dropped.

Good planning. I didn't think about replacing the drive belt, but that makes a lot of sense too. The Harley has a nice 'old school' look about it with those saddle bags (which remind me of a couple I had back in the 1960's) and the wide whitewall tires.

Is that the new owner sitting on the H-D ? Looks like she's raring to take the bike out for a nice run.

Nice series of pix.

No, that's his sister. Believe it or not, the new owner had NEVER ridden a Harley before in his life! He had ridden lots of other brands but never a Harley. He didn't even ride THIS one till after he bought and paid for it. He said, if he dumped it, he couldn't afford to pay to have it fixed, so he forked over the 8 grand and rode off with it. True story.

Great story. He found what many of us look for...a low mileage, older motorcycle, car or truck of special interest...put away for many years...just waiting to be 'woken' up by the right person.

Me too! My motorcycle-riding days are past me now, but I still miss the wind in my face and a sweet little honey's arms around me.... holding on for dear life!
