Tamron AF28-200 XR Macro

Testing out this lens I just bought to see how it is for macro shots, with a 2x converter it looks promising. Shot these in the back yard with the converter on.







This was shot out my den window, no converter.

Not bad for a first go. I suspect that using the converter makes the images not a sharp as they could be, but I've not tryed any macro with my converter yet.

Nice Bluejay. They are nice looking birds, but man are they ever trouble makers!

Thanks Eccs, I think you are right about that converter softening the image. However without the converter I really wasn't impressed with the macro capabilities at all. I'm thinking perhaps buying an extension tube to take the place of the converter would work better.
