Chase Creek in Autumn
Lens: 14mm Camera: K3II Photo Location: Chase B.C. ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1s Aperture: F14
Posted By: aitrus3, 10-18-2019, 06:30 AM

This is a small horizontal panorama with each frame shot in portrait. I also did 8x shots for each frame so I could stack and get the longer water exposure. I don't have a 77mm ND filter for the Pentax 14mm lens so to get long exposures I have to stack. Would definitely prefer not to though!

Chase Creek in fall is beautiful. Autumn has to be one of my favourite times of the year by far. Not sure why, but I've always loved it. That's one of the reasons I chose to get married in autumn.

Hope you enjoy the image!

Great colors and lighting! TFS. I must try the stacking technique some day.
Best.

One advantage for the DA15 is it uses 49mm filters, so a black glass can be had reasonably.

But it's not very fast. I use the 14mm mainly for Astro which I stop down to 4-4.5 to reduce CA etc. The DA15mm would be stopped down even further making Astro shots that much dimmer.

Haha. Need, want, can afford are three different things... before I bought a 15, I'd likely save for a K1, the next APSC flagship or the 11-18 2.8
Priorities... heh

Look for a used 15 with some scratches on the body, it will be cheap but you have to be patient.

Really nice job, thanks for sharing it! Stacking, stitching, and all that can be tedious but worth the effort sometimes.
