My neighbor's back yard has provided me with a lot of photo ops over the years.

Thanks, pbancr. This is cropped down from a much larger image, so I was very pleased with the details I was able to keep.

She has several trees that create dense shadows interspersed with dramatic rays of sunlight which creating beautiful bokeh artifacts in the background. It's funny how that works - sometimes I need to drive 2 hours to a place I know that would give me that range of subjects and other days (like you say) it might be right in your own backyard or not that far.
