Thanks, pbancr. This is cropped down from a much larger image, so I was very pleased with the details I was able to keep.

My neighbor's back yard offers some amazing photo ops, due not only to her beautiful flowers but the dramatic lighting that's available . She has several trees that create dense shadows interspersed with dramatic rays of sunlight which creating beautiful bokeh artifacts in the background. Such was the case of the bright green in the photo above.

It's funny how that works - sometimes I need to drive 2 hours to a place I know that would give me that range of subjects and other days (like you say) it might be right in your own backyard or not that far.
