Chained Up
Lens: Sigma 28-300mm Macro Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Idaho ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F8

This was taken on my first outing with this particular lens. I made a mistake when I sold it. ..... sigh.........

Thanks for your kind words, Les. It usually boils down to what you see, not what you look at. If a person has an artistic side, a lot of the time the scene itself will dictate the composition.... but it all depends on what you SEE. In this case, the little dangling piece of chain at the bottom, in the bokeh, was strictly a bonus I didn't see till editing time. I thought it added a lot to the overall composition.

I like the complementary colors in the background too, it all just works.

Thanks, Tony. This was one of those shots that was just screaming to be taken. I was in some deep shadows at a local park and a lone ray of sunshine cast it's light on this small section of chain. I just happened to be there with a camera. The colors were a real bonus.

It is a nice shot. Why not buy another if you miss it?
