Lilies always seem to make good subjects and I had fun photographing this one.

Lurve this. The shadows on the dew drops makes the shot!

Thanks. Nothing more than light from a nearby window.

A classy, classic image, Dewman. Would love to see the original size image for this one. The size on the page here doesn't do full justice to what you have there.

Nailed it. The light, water drops and background make for a very classy looking image.

Really nice light and shadow, love the water droplets, is that spray bottle?

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, it was a spray bottle. When photographing flowers, I'll often have one handy.

When you mentioned earlier this shot relied on light from a window, I wondered if the droplets were from a spray bottle!! Then I find someone had the cheek to ask!!!

Whatever, it IS a very nice image - and again, I would love to see the larger image. I am sure it would have even more "punch". But this image does show what can be done with interior still shots with smart preparation, positioning, etc.

Makes me want to try my hand at this genre.

I've had more fun taking photos of flowers on my dining room table than just about any type of photography I've tried so far. I really like the ability to have total control over the light and I found that if I wait until early in the morning or later in the afternoon, the colors change enough that it makes a definite difference. Try it. You'll be amazed at how easy and rewarding it can be. Even in the dead of winter, I just pick up a bouquet of flowers at the supermarket and I'm in business! I'd be happy to send you the full size image.... 3.09 MB, but not sure how to do it here. I think it's too large a file to post. Maybe an email? Private message? Thanks for your comments.

I found it somewhat amusing that K2 to K50 mentioned someone having the "cheek" to ask whether I used a water bottle on one of my flower shots. I make no apology for using it. Mother Nature just didn't see fit to accommodate me, so I just took the situation in hand and made my own. Simple as that. No more dishonest than cropping or sharpening to my way of thinking.
