Corridors
by RobGeraghty, on Flickr

I took this in about 1979 using a second hand Voigtlander land camera and a pair of polarising sunglasses. It was the first photo I took that I thought worthy of framing.

Thank you! I'd love to go back and take it again with the gear I have now, but I'm not sure that the forest even exists anymore!

It is a nice one. Shows the geometric slacing very well. Order imposed on nature. Many years ago I did a painting of a forest that had just been planted. It had grown, been harvested and re-planted last time I saw it.

That's an interesting demonstration of the passage of time!
Sadly we lost a lot of plantation forest in the 2003 firestorm including redwoods and sequoias that were planted in the 30s.

A fine image, you've gotta admire the precision of the planting too.

True! I think the forestry people had more pride in their work in those days.

Yes, well, I'll get to see them one day, since I have ancestors in Scotland from two branches of the family!

The scattered wood method? Lovely shot - it looks like selenium toning.
