Nice shot of a dangerous subject! In your yard, really? Where is it?

Great shot. Was it in town or up in the hills?

This is more than a mile inside city limits, Boulder CO. The city made everyone within one mile of the city's edge get bear proof trash cans, so the bears moved closer to the center of town.

Just goes to show you that if you put bear chew toys in your yard, the bears will come. We have them in my area but they are not many and they mostly are out of sight except for the occasional bent over bird feeder pole. I've been hoping for a chance to take pics. Nice job with this one!

What IS this thing? Can I eat it? The cub looks very intent on puzzling this out. Good capture. Thanks.

Cubs cute, Mama not so much. Guess you didn't mow the lawn that day.

In Whitney they built a fence around the dump to keep the bears away. The bears just started raiding back yard garbage bins. Now we have a spring bear hunt. I haven't seen a bear near Whitney since it started. We do have lots of orphan cubs though.

I see it has happened in Lakewood as well. Even so it is amazing to see.

These bears busted through my fence to get in the backyard.
