Isn't that tree moss, or is "lichens" used more loosely here?
We have moss and lichens(patterns on rocks) as well as chanterelles, bolete, chicken of the woods, turkey tail and others but our moss tends to grow on the ground and downed trees. The bears seem to like the air okay. :P
