WR Tripod
Lens: varies Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Auburn, IN

Forecast today is rain, all day. So, my old tripod that just sits in the coat closet became my WR upgrade to my K lenses. 3 zip ties and done.

Love it.. I have that same model tripod I used a few times to photo ferns in the rain... Highly functional and very fairly priced WR tripods! Highly recommend! Nice Bluebird shot too!

I especially like the second image, showing a House Finch {it looks like one from the back} flying in the rain,

Thank you! I may have to attach my bigger golf umbrella to it, and bring out the propane space heater too.

Thank you! You are correct. The House Finch was going to land, but the Blue Bird apparently scared it off.

It's too bad you didn't catch the moment the House Finch was scared off by the Blue Bird; those little birds are so, well little, but they can be fierce to each other at the moment of conflict.

I know that feeling only too well... similar WR techniques are applied here in the Highlands too.

How does one protect the second tripod?

And you have have some slippery slopes to contend with, making it more of a challenge.

Thank you!. Hmmm maybe I need a pop up shelter, a couple chairs and a space heater when the snow moves in.

Okay, so we get up in the morning, open the front door, take a look, and say "Well, not today".

But oh no, not you!!! You go "Okay, so what do we need?? Hmmmm, yeh, this. Oh, and this, yes. Right. Off we go".

And come up with two wonderful images!! Man, talk about going for it. Truly, an inspiration to the rest of us.
