Wonderful shot, I like how the water drops reflects the flower.

That's a nice image. Colors are good, offset framing works, drops of water refracting the scene... Lovely.

I second that comment!! Pictures within a picture!! A winning image, every time when it works, and it definitely works here.

Technically aren't they acting like lenses rather than mirrors? Refracting rather than reflecting?

I have tried so hard to duplicate your image...... even using the same lens..... but I've never been able to come even close! I'm so envious. Beautiful work.

I believe you are right. Water drop are acting like lenses and refracting light... I will look at rain and water drop differently now, hoping to see the same thing one day and capture it.

Fantastic image! Those droplets came out perfectly. I can't wait for rain and the opportunity to try my hand again this winter.

Thank you. Photography often has an element of luck.

Yes, this is refraction i.e. light bending, not reflection.

Thank you. I've entered it into camera club night this week so I am hoping for an award. However, judges can be very fussy so nothing is assured.

Yes, give it a go! It's so much fun and you won't mind getting wet.

Nice shot! That 100mm macro sure is a performer. I need to go out more after the rain - or at least try carrying a spray bottle around for a session!

Keep on trying. I don't have any winning formulae. Photography has an element of luck.

It seems that either f:8 or f:9.6 is the magic number for that lens, doesn't it? Most of my macro shots with it have usually been one or the other.
