Moon Over the Mountains
Lens: FA 77mm Limited Camera: K-5 IIs Photo Location: Piatra Craiului ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1s Aperture: F5.6

This picture was taken while camping at night on the ridge of Piatra Craiului mountains in Romania. There were actually two exposures, one of them was for the moon only.

It's not only the moon itself, but also the light it shines onto the cloud below what makes this shot for me. Really cool!

The light from the moon on the clouds really makes this image. Great work blending the 2 exposures, with the area around the moon looking quite natural. The features on the moon add significantly to the image. Thanks.

I did not crop it. Usually I crop to adjust framing and composition, but for this image I used a tripod and composition in liveview so there was no need to crop the image.
