In real life today, the appearance of the colors in the forest were sharply desaturated from a few days ago, as the mosses, due to dry winds, and the fall colors, have been fading. I set out to capture this color palette. The shadows in the shade had become very deep while the sunlight hit exposed areas with strong brilliance. I came home with a lot of failed shots today for fuzzy resolution, blown highlights and bad misses in depth-of-field focusing.
