All those posts make a great subject but there's nothing like a big body of water to really get the feeling of space flowing. Lovely serene photos.

Thanks! This coastline is my main subject for photography and I am lucky enough to spend a lot of time on and near this sea working as a journalist specialized in nature.

Thanks Ray! Those posts are all that remains of efforts to retain some of the mud flowing in. Al that to expand the land and keep the sea at bay.

Thanks Mikey! The sunset was really jaw dropping beautiful in the first three photo's. We were standing in the sea with the tide going out surrounded by al sorts of birds. It was a genuine special moment.

Thanks! It is normal that as the sun sets the colors get more beautiful but this time it never seemed to stop.

Wow! Thanks for a very nice compliment. The Waddensea was chosen as the most beautiful nature reserve by the Dutch public. And they are right. The Lonely Planet crowds are slowly finding their way to this region too. If you ever want to travel north to experience it for your self shoot me a personal message and I'll do my best to help you explore it. I've organized two local Pentax meets on this coast already!

Your not trying to convince me these were all taken on the same afternoon... are you?

If so... I could take a years worth of landscapes in a day.
