This is a very interesting bird.
Even though my wife is a bird-watcher, I've never seen anything like it here.

Excellent capture! The outstanding feature is that strange looking bill/beak (for a goose that is).Thanks for sharing.

Yes, it's more like the cere of a budgerigar. Although the Magpie Goose (photo in another thread) is more bizarre! The Cape Barren Goose was nearly driven to extinction by early European settlers shooting and eating them. Like most native birds, they are now protected.
