At the dock

The dock at Beaufort North Carolina hosts yachts from all over the world. This shot was taken from what I estimate was a 70 foot tall mast ship.

I'm usually not fan of that kind of subject, but I like your shot. The ropes are sharp and detailed.

Thank youBertrand3000. My wife suggested I take the shot, then suggested I post it here, so she deserves a lot of the credit.

Thank you foxandcrow and ginnyfoos. The Sigma 17-70mm DC macro is capable of good sharpness OOC, but I did a fair amount of PP on this shot. Knocking down highlights and pulling up shadows, but also some careful sharpening. All done in the jpeg realm with PhotoFiltre 7 free software.

Thanks TSM. I've been using PhotoFiltre for at least 15 years. It's feature packed and pretty capable for free software. Its sharpening tools aren't bad if you know their limitations.
