Butterfly week at the Montreal Botanical Garden. K20d with DFA 100 mm f/2.8 Macro and flash.

Fabulous shot! The focus on the eye is just right and the flash has seriously saturated the colours. It looks similar to an Australian Birdwing Butterfly.

Nice shot, great colour. It is very much like our Richmond Birdwing. Was the shot taken in a butterfly house that has exotic butterflies?

The Montreal Botanical Garden organises a "Butterfly Week" every year to present domestic and exotic species of these insects. I'm not very versed in Entomology but, yes, these were exotic specimens.

Excellent piece of photography! Crisp, clear, sharp. Coulours are stunning. Great catch of a most magnificent specimen.
