That was my first guess. I definitely need to extend my lens collection. Longest one now is DA* 50-135. Probably I will start from 55-300 PLM if Adam will send me one at the beginning of new month!

That would be a great choice. I have thought of buying one for travel. My 60-250 takes up a little too much space, but it is such a good lens, I hate leaving it at home.

It works pretty well if the target is larger such as gulls, ducks, geese, etc. I struggle with smaller birds in flight. From what I have read, the 55-300 PLM is much faster.
