Nature Decaying fruit

My wife made some lovely tarts from some of the fruit from our old pear tree. The color of this old leathery guy who has held on beyond our first frost here was worth a picture this morning.

Thanks so much. The moose might get a little drunk, as this pear is quite soft and probably a bit fermented.
