Chameleon
Lens: FA43 Camera: K-1 II Photo Location: Quebec city Aquarium

Nothing spectacular about the composition, but I found the colours on this chameleon particularly gorgeous. Shot amid a rush of children wanting to pet or feed the poor animal, so no time for proper composition.

Extraordinary animal! It is unreal how they change color to blend in with their environment. In this case he/she could obviously not use that trick. Thanks for sharing.

I wonder what colors it was trying to emulate, was it her dress? Quite festive!

Yep. Not sure this one was trying its hand at camouflaging... In truth their colour change isn't really camouflage, it's more a switch between a few tones.

I have a soft spot for most lizards. IIRC the colour change in a chameleon is more to do with social and stress triggers than camouflage.

True. The chameleon itself is the interesting part, this time, not the art of creating the image.
