Good shot. Without looking at the description, I thought it was an old steam locomotive.

Nice shot. Good colours. I am heading that way in about ten days. The snow will be gone but there is bound to be rain.

Nice colour, and framing. I'm also interested in the plantation in the background. Eucalyptus nitens?

Yes, many plantations of this species in Tasmania.

We are having to faze E.nitens out, as a plantation species, in South Africa. It's become the favorite food source for one of our indigenous moths!

Just a few weeks ago, and it is snowing in that area today - - yes, November. We are having a cold Spring in Tasmania.

I thought this was an old steam locomotive at first as well and was wondering how it got there with no rails in sight. Always neat seeing bits of old civilization in the middle of nature,

It snowed at Perisher today, and probably in the Brindabellas tonight. I should go for a drive tomorrow and see if any snow is left!

Am I missing something here? It's definitely summer in South Africa, and I heard reports of bush fires in NSW. How can you still be getting snow?!
