We stopped at the Crazy Horse monument on our way to Yellowstone this summer. I haven't seen any images from there so thought I would post this one. This from just off the parking lot. In 20 years the trees will have grown up and this view won't be available. Nothing special, grand kids in tow so hands pretty full most of the time.

Interesting when you know what the final monument is planned to look like. Nice shot of what will become an even more spectacular sight.

That is where the horse's head will be carved. Just Google "Crazy horse memorial design" and you will get more than you need. Apparently it was started in 1948!!
