This is also an excellent shot! Some time ago we had one in our garden which I checked on regularly and photographed with different prey species. So one day I was looking for her again only to find she had been taken by a jumping spider! It's a dog eat dog situation in nature.

Thanks Charlie. Yep. From a distance a garden is quite the peaceful setting. But up close? A dangerous place for the creatures that live there.

Dave, that's one of the most incredible series I've ever seen. From the initial thought of "Ah ha.... a meal!:.... to "Got'cha!" Great patience and an amazing capture. Bravo.

Thanks Dewman. I probably spent more time in the garden with camera in hand than I should have last summer. Now I'm playing catch up with the yard work.
