Ibis Takeoffs & Landings
Posted By: dosdan, 10-18-2008, 08:16 PM

Brisbane Botanic Gardens - Sunday Morning 7am. K20D.

First two shots: DA16-45/F4 @ FL 45mm & F5.6, 1/180s, ISO 100.

Final 2 shots: F35-105/F4-5.6 @ FL 78mm & F6.7, 1/350s, ISO 200.

It looks like I should have gone to ISO 400 & 1/750s for these shots.

1st ones ok but the others are over exposed (no detail in whites). Like the moment you caught in 1.

So you did get some photos of dump ducks!

Like Monaro said, the first one's the best. Did you unsharp mask any of these?

Ok, it's what my aunt calls them. If you walk through the Mall, it becomes an obvious nickname.

It was Paul McDermott who said that the ibis was once worshipped by the ancient Egyptians, yet now is reduced to picking through garbage bins.
