Really like the colouring on both but the first sticks out. I can imagine these in original size but bettet yet in REAL life.

Not sure whether I personally would have shot the second one with a single tree in the middle - would like to hear others' opinions.

I didn't notice the tree until you pointed it out (too busy looking at the colors in the mountains), but you are right, it is distracting once you notice it. I would love to see this in person!

Always carry a chain saw in your photo bag

I agree that the tree in the middle is disturbing. Had it been out to the left it would have worked fine as foreground object.

To be honest, the second one was a snapshot made from a driving car (it's embarrassing to stop the driver every time you see something to shoot). So...
But anyway.. Here's a panorama from the same location.

Such beauty and yes, like Carol said - looking at the colours can be destracting. Can anyone tell me why such colours on the second shot.

That pana is great.

Love the colors of both of the photos (What Tree?). The pano is great. You do real nice work.

Good Shooting.

I really like the first one. Nice composition. The fog in the valley adds some visual interest. I've got to agree about the tree in the second one though. I really detracts from the image.

Cheers
