A cloud passing by
Lens: Samyang 24mm Camera: K-1 Photo Location: Waddensea, the Netherlands ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/350s

A single cloud above the Wadden Sea. I looked for and found a small pool of water to use for a nice reflection.

Cheers,

Absolutely beautiful capture. Excellent job with a tricky horizon.

When I saw the title of the post, I was thinking... "a cloud passing by"... how interesting can it be? But it's a really beautiful shot - well composed and executed

Great timing, Remco! For some reason, there's something whimsical about this delightful photo that makes me smile!

Very nice! The cloud reflection actually becomes the focal point.

Thanks Tony! The tilt screen of the K-1 is a great help composing the shot, keeping the horizon straight and find good balance in finding the best exposure. Especially shooting straight in to the sun; even if it was hidden behind the clouds.

Thank you Jennifer! I hope somebody does. I already have to much printed photo's hanging. Very occasionally I manage to sell a photo. There is some stiff competition!

Mike, I guess I understated the photo a little bit with that title but I am glad you looked closer anyway. Thanks for the wonderful compliment!

Thanks for fine choice of words my friend. I had to look up 'whimsical' and that is a very good way to describe what I want to achieve.

Robin, thank you! The whole time I was looking for a way to make this sunset 'work' for me. When I focussed on this cloud everything came together.
