I saw a hawk across the street from the house, but took it to be a Coopers hawk. I'm not sure which one it is, but I'll take your word for it.
ID'd from post in ID this bird from Birding Group.:

That leaves Buteo spp. The very pale bars on the tail contrasting with much thicker dark bars, the rusty on the back, and the evenly streaked breast suggest Red-shouldered hawk (Buteo lineatus), immature.
We have a pair of these hawks living in a pine tree, they are here year round, this one of their babies.

To everyone else, thanks a lot for your compliments and comments. Hands shaking really bad today or I'd thank you all individually.

Great capture. TFS. Hope you'll x-post in the yard birds thread. (Doesn't matter if it's someone else's yard!)

Thanks to you too, ChristianRock! He must have because I got front view, side view and back view, before he flew off.

Urs, thanks!

I'll tell you all, I was standing almost straight under him and I had to back the lens off 300mm to get him in the full frame, this was shot at 170mm.. He didn't fly off, so I took several more shots to show tail feathers, and his back, for identification purposes.
