Love this shot; sharp, colorful with nice bokeh. We have some hot lips in our Durban garden and the bees, especially solitary bees, like to visit them. Thanks for sharing.
Best.

Nice shot! It has a 3D effect that's very nice looking.

We have these in our yard. The hummingbirds love them. Every time I've tried to shoot them (the flowers, not the birds), the red always turns out over saturated. I've tried all kinds of different exposure settings and custom image settings on my K-5 IIs. White balance has been set to either AWB or whatever is appropriate for the existing lighting. The camera just seems to be especially sensitive to that particular shade of red. Admittedly I'm only shooting jpeg; raw would no doubt give different results. I can turn down the saturation of the red channel in PP, but the results don't look natural. These flowers are quite striking, but I've never been able to capture an image as nice as yours. Congratulations.

At first I thought the title was just a clever caption - a little googling confirmed that it is a real flower name. PFs never fail to provide a learning experience every day!!

Whatever, very clever image construction and use of DOF: they seem to be floating together unsupported in empty space. The damn things almost seem to have a personality! I expect them to start dancing together at any moment!

Nice shot, Tony.
