Yesterday I thought I'd get a few shots in of the moon rise, partially in preparation for today's lunar eclipse. But it was also a nice afternoon. So I go down to my favorite beach that has a very good eastern exposure. Woe! Even though the sky was clear there was a low bank of clouds completely obscuring the moonrise.
So I'm about ready to pack it up when a friend of mine and his dog show up. Duke is a highly trained German Shepherd who has a great sense of fun and play. I prudently remove my camera from the tripod, and am talking to Gary when we hear a squeal of delight, turn around and see two young women with a toddler. I never got the names of the women but the young one's name was Jessica. Duke loves children, and loves to show off for them. Jessica was fascinated with Duke. So I didn't get any decent moon shots but I got a few of Jessica and Duke. The DS with the DA 20-200 (I didn't have time to change lenses)
The first meeting f4.0 at 1/125 ISO 200
Petting the nose f4.0 at 1/90 ISO 200
Love this expression f4.5 at 1/125 ISO 200
My favorite. Duke is focused on Gary, but I love the double pointing fingers! f4.0 at 1/125
So it wasn't a completely busted day after all. Unfortunately the exact thing happened today when I went out to catch the eclipse. Large bank of clouds on the horizon, and unfortunately no Duke and no Jessica.
NaCl(but there's still tomorrow, maybe no moon but there will be something)H2O
